This role manages project intake, timelines, reviews, approvals, and handoffs to ensure high-volume creative work is prioritized, on brand, accurate, and delivered on time. The Director also owns in-store signage production, partnering with Creative, Merchandising, Stores, and external vendors to oversee production, distribution, and successful implementation across the store fleet.

A Day In The Life

Creative Project Traffic and Workflow

  • Manage the flow of creative projects from intake and briefing through review, approval, production, and delivery.

  • Build and maintain schedules that account for creative development, stakeholder feedback, legal review, revisions, and production deadlines.

  • Traffic projects between the internal creative team, agency partners, and teams across Marketing, Merchandising, Stores, and other functions.

  • Consolidate feedback, document decisions, and ensure teams have clear direction for the next round of work.

  • Track project status in WorkZone or an equivalent system and provide timely updates on milestones, risks, and dependencies.

  • Flag capacity constraints and competing priorities to Creative leadership and recommend adjustments to keep critical work moving

In-Store Signage Production

  • Own the production and execution of seasonal sign kits, promotional signage, front-of-store graphics, and other in-store marketing materials.

  • Partner with Creative, Merchandising, Visual Planning, and Store Operations to ensure signage is clear, accurate, and practical for stores to implement.

  • Manage production specifications, materials, proofs, quantities, print schedules, distribution, and installation requirements.

  • Oversee signage budgets, vendor estimates, purchase orders, and invoices.

  • Evaluate materials and production methods to improve quality, simplify store execution, and manage costs.

Asset Approval and Delivery

  • Establish clear approval paths and ensure required stakeholders review work at the appropriate stages.

  • Coordinate final checks for accuracy, brand consistency, legal requirements, and production specifications.

  • Ensure approved assets are correctly versioned, organized, and delivered to internal teams, agency partners, vendors, and stores.

  • Maintain a reliable record of approvals, final files, and production

Team and Vendor Leadership

  • Lead and develop the production and traffic team, with clear responsibilities and priorities.

  • Manage print and signage production vendors, holding them accountable for quality, timing, and cost.

  • Build effective working relationships with agency project management and production teams.

  • Improve workflows and ways of working as the volume and complexity of creative projects evolve.

You'll Come With

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Liberal Arts or Graphic Design.

  • 8+ years of experience in creative operations, advertising production, project management, or retail marketing.

  • Experience with large-scale signage production, agency collaboration, vendor management, budgets, and team leadership required.

  • Strong command of creative project workflows, scheduling, and stakeholder approvals.

  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to align cross-functional partners, move work forward, and manage priorities without direct authority.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with different deadlines and levels of complexity.

  • Working knowledge of print production, file preparation, proofing, materials, and color management.

  • Strong judgment in identifying production risks, resolving issues, and escalating decisions.

  • Clear communication and the ability to coordinate teams with different priorities.

  • Proficiency with WorkZone or an equivalent project management system, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Cloud
