Job Description

End-to-End Process Ownership

  • Own the functional design for service contract quote-to-cash and parts order-to-cash, from order entry through cash receipt and financial reporting.

  • Keep current process documentation up to date, including system touchpoints, controls, exception handling and RACI.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on how SAP configuration, custom developments and connected applications support the end-to-end flow. Production Support and Root-Cause Analysis

  • Partner with business users to triage and fix issues in order management, logistics, billing, revenue and AR.

  • Lead root-cause analysis on recurring incidents and drive permanent fixes through problem management.

  • Analyze ticket trends and present findings and reduction plans to IT and business leadership.

  • Direct and validate the work of managed service providers to make sure root-cause analysis and fixes are high quality. Process and Solution Design

  • Lead improvement workstreams from problem definition through requirements, design, build oversight, testing, deployment and hypercare.

  • Facilitate requirements workshops and write user stories, functional specifications and acceptance criteria.

  • Weigh the options for each fix (configuration, enhancement, reporting or process change) and recommend clear solutions.

  • Design reconciliation reports and dashboards that link orders, billing, revenue, payments and open receivables. Automation and Controls

  • Find and deliver automation opportunities, including payment clearing, exception handling, integration data validation and interface monitoring.

  • Work with low-code and RPA teams where a solution outside SAP is the best fit.

  • Strengthen controls related to revenue recognition and AR. Integration and Connected Systems

  • Understand EDI integrations through Dell Boomi with 3PLs, carriers and trading partners, including mapping, triggers, error handling and reprocessing.

  • Coordinate with external partner IT teams on outages, maintenance windows and escalation procedures.

  • Understand the custom applications (such as OutSystems) and CRM/quoting tools that create or change contract and order data.

  • Support intercompany flows, including stock transport orders, inbound deliveries, batch and serial number handling, and export compliance touchpoints.

Skills and Requirements

  • 10+ years of SAP functional experience in SD/LE and order-to-cash, with at least 5 years on S/4HANA.
  • At least two full-lifecycle implementations or major redesigns, plus significant production support experience.
  • Proven experience with service contract billing and revenue recognition, including scenarios where billing and recognition are decoupled.
  • Demonstrated success solving high-volume logistics and fulfillment issues at the root cause.
  • Hands-on experience with EDI through a middleware platform (Dell Boomi preferred; SAP PI/PO, CPI or similar acceptable).
  • Strong understanding of SD and LE integration with FI-AR and the general ledger.
