Full job description

Our client, a regulated technology and quality environment, is seeking an Assurance Specialist to join their team. As an Assurance Specialist, you will support the Quality function by helping manage the end-to-end documentation lifecycle for engineering artifacts—ensuring required records are produced, reviewed, approved, and retained in alignment with applicable quality processes. If you enjoy audit-ready documentation, clear communication, and working closely with technical and quality stakeholders, this role is built for you.

Job Title: Assurance Specialist

Location: Upper Providence - Hybrid (onsite 1x a week or once every two weeks), Collegeville, PA

Pay Range: $39-$41/hr

What's the Job?

  • In coordination with the assigned Quality team member, assist in managing the end-to-end documentation lifecycle for engineering, ensuring required artifacts are produced, reviewed, approved, and retained according to applicable quality processes.

  • Proactively liaise with contributors and stakeholders to progress draft documentation, coordinate reviews, and secure requisite approvals, reporting progress or issues as needed for final review.

  • Support documentation review from a technical writing perspective by proofreading, formatting, and flagging suspected issues for follow-up with the assigned Quality team member.

  • Maintain documentation repositories and version control practices to preserve audit readiness and traceability, keeping the Quality team member informed of repository status and any version-control concerns.

  • Support risk and issue record upkeep by following up on outstanding or overdue records as assigned, and manage document routing and administrative finalization (uploading, version tracking, coordinating signoffs) in consultation with the Quality team member.

What's Needed?

  • Document lifecycle experience routing documents through draft, review, approval, and retention in a controlled environment (QMS, eQMS, or document management system).

  • Experience maintaining repositories (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence, or a validated DMS) with traceability and audit readiness.

  • Strong technical writing and editing skills, including proofreading, formatting, and reviewing technical documents for clarity and consistency; ability to flag suspected issues.

  • Proven stakeholder follow-up skills—chasing contributors, reviewers, and approvers to meet deadlines and escalating appropriately to a quality lead.

  • General awareness of validation concepts and information/cloud security principles (access control, data classification, confidentiality, and shared responsibility); certification not required.

What's in it for me?

  • Work in a hybrid schedule with onsite collaboration in Upper Providence.

  • Build audit-ready documentation skills by supporting controlled document lifecycles and approval workflows.

  • Partner with a senior Quality professional while contributing independently to progress, routing, and issue follow-up.

  • Strengthen your SDLC exposure by supporting documentation artifacts tied to software development lifecycle activities.

  • Contribute to traceability and risk/issue closure by maintaining repositories, version control, and status updates.
