Job Title: Maintenance I / Construction Job Summary: The Maintenance I / Construction Worker performs skilled maintenance and construction tasks with moderate independence. This role supports hospital renovation and repair projects, performs preventative maintenance, and assists senior staff on complex jobs Duties and Responsibilities: - Perform skilled repairs and construction tasks across multiple trades. - Install and repair walls, ceilings, doors, cabinetry, flooring, and fixtures. - Read and interpret work orders, sketches, and basic construction plans. - Assist with infection control measures and jobsite containment. - Support emergency and after-hours maintenance needs as assigned. - Maintain accurate documentation of work performed. - Participate in on-call rotation and respond to facility emergencies as required. - Other duties as assigned. Professional Requirements: - Ensures that appearance and personal conduct are professional at all times - Excellent attendance record - Wears appropriate clothing for job functions. Wears ID badge - Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with physicians, administration, and staff - Represents the organization positively and professionally in the community - Maintains patient confidentiality at all times - Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices. - Arrives at work on time and ready to start the report. Manages time wisely throughout the shift and is prepared to leave work when the bedside report is complete - Demonstrates the Healing Model **Regulatory Requirements: ** - Solid working knowledge of construction and building maintenance. - 3-8 years of commercial maintenance or construction experience. - Trade school coursework or apprenticeship preferred.
