Job Description
A leading warehouse automation and intralogistics organization is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to support the testing and validation of enterprise warehouse software solutions. This individual will play a critical hands-on role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software that drives highly automated distribution and fulfillment environments. The ideal candidate will have deep experience testing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), or Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) and be comfortable working in complex environments involving automation, robotics, conveyors, ASRS systems, and material handling technologies. The client's software portfolio supports real-time orchestration of inventory, automation equipment, workflows, and warehouse operations through tightly integrated WMS, WCS, and WES functionality.
Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts for warehouse software applications
- Perform functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and system testing across WMS, WCS, and WES platforms
- Execute manual testing for new features, workflows, and customer-specific functionality
- Validate integrations between warehouse software systems, automation equipment, robotics, conveyors, ASRS, and third-party applications
- Partner closely with software developers, product teams, business analysts, and implementation teams to identify and resolve defects
- Create detailed test plans, test cases, and testing documentation
- Analyze system behavior, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to quality best practices throughout the SDLC
- Support testing efforts related to software releases, upgrades, and customer deployments Help ensure system stability and performance within high-volume automated warehouse environments
Compensation: $55/hr to $57/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.
Skills and Requirements

5+ years of Quality Assurance experience in enterprise software environments

Strong hands-on automation testing experience (approximately 70-80% automation)
-
Experience with manual testing methodologies (20-30%)
-
Direct experience supporting WMS, WCS, or WES platforms

Strong understanding of warehouse operations, fulfillment workflows, inventory movement, and material handling systems

Experience testing integrated software solutions across multiple platforms and environments

Ability to write, execute, and maintain automated test scripts

Experience working within Agile software development teams

Strong troubleshooting and defect investigation skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Experience within warehouse automation, logistics, distribution, supply chain, or fulfillment environments

Exposure to automation technologies including conveyors, sortation systems, robotics, AutoStore, AGVs, or ASRS solutions

Experience testing software that controls or interfaces with physical automation equipment

SQL and database validation experience

Experience with API testing and integration testing Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Postman, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar QA technologies
