Job Title: Construction Technician Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Construction Technicians to support a retrofit project at an industrial distribution facility located in Alachua, FL. This position offers a consistent schedule from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with guaranteed 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Maintain site cleanliness and organization.

• Assist with spotting, flagging, and traffic control.

• Attend to the construction site gate duties.

• Facilitate the movement of materials.

• Ensure a smooth operation of the job site.

• Promote safety and teamwork.

Essential Skills

• General labor experience.

• Construction knowledge.

• Proficiency with hand tools.

• Experience as a gate attendant or in a similar role.

• Ability to multitask and handle site cleanup.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience on a commercial construction job site.

• Reliable transportation.

• Strict adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Work Environment

The work will take place both inside and outside of an existing distribution facility. The position requires adherence to safety attire, including steel-toed boots, hard hats, hi-visibility shirts or vests, safety glasses, safety gloves, and working pants.

This is a Contract position based out of Alachua, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
