Rate of pay: $15-$18. Final compensation is based on factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Plan, prepare, and facilitate structured karate classes appropriate to participant age, experience, and skill level.

  • Teach foundational and progressive karate techniques, including stances, movements, blocks, strikes, kicks, forms, and other skills appropriate to the program.

  • Demonstrate techniques clearly and provide participants with appropriate instruction, correction, encouragement, and feedback.

  • Modify activities and instruction as appropriate to accommodate different skill and developmental levels.

  • Incorporate age-appropriate activities that keep participants engaged while supporting skill development.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of karate fundamentals, techniques, terminology, and safety practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Multi-lingual skills

  • Additional qualifications specific to each program (such as certifications or degrees in dance, sports, or education)
