Geologist II (Suffern, NY)

Weston & Sampson is seeking a geologist/hydrogeologist with 2 - 5+ years of experience to join the Water Discipline in our Suffern, NY office.What youll do: * Hydrogeologic/geologic investigations * Pumping test supervision * Water-quality sampling * Streamflow gaging * GIS map/graphics generation * Monitoring and production well drilling oversight * Soil sampling and logging during well installation * Data compilation and interpretation * Permit and report writingWhat you will bring: * Bachelors degree in geology, hydrogeology or water resources related field (M.S. preferred) * 2 to 5+ years of experience * A positive attitude and ability to work in a team setting * Enthusiasm for completing field work at a variety of site settings * Proficiency in preparing GIS figures, GIS data evaluation, data entry and management using Microsoft Suite * Experience with Grapher, Surfer and Aqtesolv programs a plus * Strong GIS skills are a must * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Some travel will be required to conduct field work * Valid drivers license is required * Ability to independently complete field tasks with limited instruction Salary Range $65,000 - $82,000 Based on Education ## Overview:At Weston & Sampson, youll work alongside more than 1,000 employee-owners who are passionate about improving our communities.
