Description: Faculty Program Lead for the Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Program

Position Purpose:

The Faculty Program Lead will:

  • Report to and receive supervision from the Dean of Nursing and Allied Health.
  • Attend and contribute to teaching as assigned by the Dean of Nursing and Allied Health
  • Support and sustain relationships of partnering organizations.
  • Provide consultation to faculty and students.
  • Develop and maintain curriculum and teaching resource materials related to area of specialization and program.
  • Assist the Dean of Nursing and Allied health with recruitment and mentorship of faculty and students.
  • Monitor the progress and compliance of students.
  • Attend and participate in regular faculty meetings.
  • Promote evidence-based teaching/learning practices among faculty
  • Assist faculty and students with required research/scholarship endeavors, as applicable.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: MS or MSN; DNP preferred.
  • Licensure / Certification: licensed to practice as an RN and/or APRN in the State of Ohio.
  • Successfully completed an accredited nursing program Experience: Minimum three years of experience in nursing and or higher education and minimum 5 years in nursing and/or advanced nursing practice. Other licensure as relevant to the specific program.
  • Assistant Professor or above rank preferred.
  • Experience with adult learners preferred.
  • Have at least 2 years of teaching experience in a graduate level nursing program.
  • Experience teaching in an online program.
  • A strong desire for leadership development.
  • Experience in curriculum development and educational administration preferred.
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Proficiency in using computer and other contemporary instructional technology.
