Workplace: West Central Georgia Regional Hospital

Job Summary:

The Job Coach position is needed to support the hospital’s rehabilitative mission by providing individuals receiving mental health services with structured opportunities to develop and strengthen vocational, interpersonal, and independent living skills necessary for successful community reintegration. The Job Coach will provide direct support to individuals participating in work therapy and vocational activities, including assessing work readiness, assisting with the development of appropriate employment-related goals, teaching workplace expectations and skills, providing on-site coaching, monitoring progress, and addressing barriers that may interfere with successful participation. The position will also work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure vocational activities are consistent with each individual’s treatment goals, abilities, and identified needs.

Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Preferred qualifications include experience working with individuals with serious mental illness, behavioral health needs, intellectual/developmental disabilities, or other populations requiring vocational or rehabilitative support. Experience providing job coaching, supported employment, vocational rehabilitation, psychosocial rehabilitation, or employment-readiness services is highly desirable.
