Job Summary:
Supervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff. Provides technical assistance and training within a health care specialty. Plans, directs, and implements a specialty program. Evaluates programs for compliance with state and/or federal guidelines.
Additional Job Description
Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of experience performing work related to the area of assignment, which includes two (2) years in a managerial or supervisory role or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Healthcare Program Consultant 3 (HCP092) or position equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Counseling, Rehabilitation, Behavioral Health, or a closely related field is preferred.
- Experience providing or coordinating rehabilitation, psychosocial rehabilitation, therapeutic activity, behavioral health, or recovery-oriented services.
- Experience providing leadership, direction, or supervision to staff and coordinating daily departmental operations.
- Experience working in an inpatient psychiatric, forensic, behavioral health, or other structured healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Three or more years of progressively responsible experience in rehabilitation, behavioral health, therapeutic recreation, psychosocial rehabilitation, or a related human services setting is preferred.
- Previous experience coordinating programs, leading staff, or serving in a supervisory or lead capacity is highly desirable.
- Experience within an inpatient psychiatric or forensic hospital setting is strongly preferred.
