Summary
About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at NETCOM Headquarters ACofS G-2 at Fort Huachuca, AZ.
Duties
- Oversees the INFOSEC Program for Headquarters, NETCOM, ensuring the protection of classified information across the headquarters staff.
- Provides guidance and advice to staff regarding the classification process, proper storage and transportation requirements.
- Keeps current on changes in Army PERSEC changes and ensures subcommands are informed.
- Manages day-to-day PERSEC requirements, including initiation of background investigations, account facilitation, and reporting adverse information
- Responsible for administration of multiple security programs for Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM), Assistant Chief of Staff, G2.
- Oversees the safeguarding and storage of sensitive classified SCI/national security information.
- Interprets and implements security regulations involved in development, staffing, publication and interpretation of security programs, regulations covering operations in INFOSEC, INDUSEC, PERSEC, Foreign Disclosure and SCI Program Management.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. To qualify, applicants must have one year or more of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level. Specialized experience is defined as experience which includes: 1. Serving as an authoritative advisor and liaison to executive leadership, program managers, and organizational elements on original and derivative classification, safeguarding protocols, and the controlled dissemination of classified national security information and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI); 2. Developing, administering, and delivering specialized guidance and security education/training across diverse security disciplines, including Information Security (INFOSEC), Industrial Security, and general security program management; AND 3. Leading and conducting formal inquiries or administrative investigations into security violations, potential compromises, or infractions; analyzing investigative findings; and formulating, tracking, and executing corrective action plans to eliminate vulnerabilities. Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.

This position requires a 2 year trial period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.
