Full job description

Zarminali Pediatrics is building the nation's leading pediatric multispecialty group, focused on supporting families to shape healthy futures for their children – from birth through adulthood – by completely transforming the way pediatric care is delivered nationwide. We are tackling today's challenges of increased administrative burden on clinicians and a siloed approach to pediatric care through intentional design of care delivery, enhanced by leading technology and collaborative, expert care teams.

Our name, inspired by our founder's daughter's name – Zarmina – means “something that is more precious to you than gold”. We couldn’t think of anything that better represents the way parents and caregivers hold the relationship with their children as the most valuable gift, and how we at Zarminali approach care for each child with equal reverence.

We strive for a healthier future for pediatric patients and a happier future for pediatric clinicians nationwide, and we are looking for people to join us in achieving this vision. If you are eager to join a growth stage company and be part of the early team that is shaping the foundation of both the company and the delivery of pediatric care, then this opportunity might be for you!

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and adaptable Cross-Trained Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our Sartell, Minnesota. This role is designed to provide flexibility across both clinical and front-office responsibilities, ensuring a seamless experience for patients, families, and providers.

As a true cross-trained team member, you will support both the front and back of the clinic based on daily operational needs. You may assist with patient check-in, scheduling, and front-desk responsibilities before transitioning to rooming patients, administering vaccinations, supporting providers, and delivering hands-on pediatric care.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Clinical Care & Provider Support

  • Complete patient intake, obtain vital signs, and conduct assessments within defined scope of practice.

  • Perform point-of-care testing, including strep, flu, RSV, COVID, hemoglobin, and other approved testing.

  • Administer vaccines safely and accurately and monitor patients for adverse reactions.

  • Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with patient care and procedures.

  • Prepare, stock, and maintain exam rooms while following infection control standards.

  • Support medication refills, prior authorizations, referrals, and patient recall efforts.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation in the EMR.

Front Office & Patient Experience

  • Welcome patients and families and support check-in and registration.

  • Collect and verify demographic, insurance, and other required patient information.

  • Schedule appointments, follow-ups, consultations, and referrals.

  • Answer and manage incoming calls with empathy and professionalism.

  • Support patient check-out and ensure appropriate follow-up care is coordinated.

  • Assist with patient outreach related to quality measures, recalls, and follow-up care.

  • Maintain clear communication with providers and clinic team members to support continuity of care.

  • Assist with opening and closing procedures and overall clinic organization.

Cross-Trained Clinic Support

  • Flex between front-office and clinical responsibilities throughout the day based on patient volume, provider schedules, and clinic needs.

  • Provide coverage across both the front and back of the clinic to help maintain efficient patient flow.

  • Work collaboratively with the entire clinic team, stepping in where support is needed most.

  • Adapt quickly as clinic priorities and patient needs change throughout the day.

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, patient experience, and clinic efficiency.

  • Serve as a positive representative of the clinic’s mission, vision, and values.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Active state LPN license in good standing.

  • Current BLS/CPR certification required.

  • 2+ years of clinical experience, preferably in pediatrics, family medicine, or outpatient care.

  • Previous experience in a cross-trained clinical and front-office role preferred.

  • Experience administering pediatric vaccinations and medications preferred.

  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR), scheduling systems, and basic office technology.

  • Comfort performing both clinical and administrative responsibilities based on the needs of the clinic.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail, flexibility, and a proactive, team-oriented approach.

  • A compassionate, patient-centered mindset and passion for delivering exceptional pediatric care.

At Zarminali Pediatrics, we are committed to our empowering clinicians and team members to deliver better pediatric care, altogether. This commitment requires building an inclusive culture and a team that represents the diverse communities we serve.

We believe that when people from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives come together, we create a stronger team and better care for our patients and their families. We realize the importance of an environment where clinicians and team members feel cared for, supported, and valued. We believe in the basics: treating everyone with kindness, respect, and fairness.
