We're Hiring | Technical Project Manager – Data Migration (Databricks) Location: Grand Rapids, MI, USA Engagement: Long-Term Contract Experience: 10+ Years
Celebal Technologies is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead a large-scale legacy data migration initiative for a leading aerospace client. This role is ideal for a technically strong project leader who understands modern data engineering ecosystems and has successfully managed Legacy-to-Databricks migration projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end data migration programs from legacy platforms to Databricks Lakehouse.
- Drive project planning, execution, sprint delivery, timelines, and risk management.
- Collaborate with Data Architects and Engineers on migration strategy and Delta Lake implementation.
- Manage cross-functional teams and enterprise stakeholder communication.
- Ensure delivery governance, data security, and compliance requirements.
Must-Have Skills
- 10+ years of overall IT experience, including 5+ years as a Technical PM / Delivery Lead.
- Proven experience delivering Legacy-to-Databricks data migration projects.
- Strong conceptual understanding of Databricks, Delta Lake, Apache Spark, ETL pipelines, and AWS/Azure.
- Hands-on project management expertise with Agile/Scrum, Jira, and Confluence.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Aerospace, Aviation, Defense, or Heavy Manufacturing domain experience is highly desirable.
Compliance & Work Authorization Requirement Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the assignment. This position is subject to the end client's applicable ITAR compliance requirements and mandatory background verification. Visa sponsorship is not available.
