What you’ll be part of:
Circle is committed to visibility and stability in everything we do. As we grow as an organization, we're expanding into some of the world's strongest jurisdictions. Speed and efficiency are motivators for our success and our employees live by our company values: High Integrity, Future Forward, Multistakeholder, Mindful, and Driven by Excellence. We have built a flexible work environment where new ideas are encouraged and everyone is a stakeholder.
What you’ll be responsible for As a Principal Product Manager at Circle, you will define and own the product strategy for Wallets, shaping the infrastructure and platform capabilities that power Circle’s next generation of stablecoin, payments, custody, and developer products. You will identify the highest-value customer problems and emerging use cases, establish a coherent strategy across custodial, developer-controlled, user-controlled, agentic, institutional custody, and cold-storage wallet models, and translate that strategy into differentiated products that drive customer adoption and business impact. You will also help define what wallets become in an agentic world, establishing the primitives, permissions, policies, and safeguards that enable AI agents to securely hold, manage, and transact value. Working across engineering, security, cryptography, compliance, risk, legal, and commercial teams, you will make critical product tradeoffs and influence Circle’s broader strategy for secure, programmable, and scalable wallet infrastructure.
What you’ll work on
- Own Circle’s Wallets product strategy and roadmap, prioritizing customer segments, use cases, wallet models, and shared platform capabilities that drive adoption and long-term business value.
- Lead customer discovery and validation with prospective customers, design partners, and lighthouse customers, translating insights into product decisions and measurable adoption outcomes.
- Define the strategy for institutional custody and secure wallet capabilities, including hot, warm, and cold storage, key management, signing, approvals, policy controls, and multi-party authorization.
- Shape Circle’s agent-ready wallet strategy, including scoped permissions, programmable policies, contract signing, smart accounts, EIP-7702, gas efficiency, and safeguards for autonomous transaction execution.
- Partner across engineering, security, cryptography, compliance, risk, legal, custody, payments, and commercial teams to turn complex technical and regulatory constraints into scalable product solutions.
- Drive platform investments that accelerate chain expansion, reduce the cost and complexity of launching new wallet use cases, and improve reliability across EVM, non-EVM, hard-fork, and protocol-upgrade workflows.
- Define and own Wallets success measures across customer and developer adoption, reliability, launch readiness, chain expansion velocity, cost efficiency, operational leverage, and risk reduction.
What you’ll bring to Circle
Core Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant product management experience, including significant experience with crypto, fintech, payments, custody, blockchain infrastructure, developer platforms, or security-sensitive financial products.
- Deep expertise in digital wallets, including custodial and non-custodial models, key management, transaction signing, smart accounts or account abstraction, recovery, gas abstraction, and wallet security.
- Proven success defining strategy and driving adoption for highly technical platform products, turning ambiguous customer and infrastructure needs into clear priorities and measurable business outcomes.
- Strong technical fluency across blockchain infrastructure, including EVM and non-EVM ecosystems, transaction lifecycles, smart contracts, protocol upgrades, APIs, and SDKs.
- Strong understanding of AI and agentic systems, including how autonomous agents can hold and transact value using scoped permissions, programmable policies, tool integrations, and appropriate safeguards.
- Demonstrated ability to influence executives and senior cross-functional stakeholders while making critical tradeoffs across customer experience, security, compliance, reliability, cost, and growth.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with stablecoins, digital asset custody, programmable wallets, MPC, HSMs, TEEs, passkeys, EIP-7702, account abstraction, or smart contract wallet systems.
- Experience building API-first or developer products where documentation, SDKs, sandbox environments, reliability, and integration quality are critical to customer adoption.
- Experience operating in regulated financial services, crypto, payments, or banking environments and partnering across security, compliance, risk, legal, and audit functions.
