Full job description

At Jacobs, we challenge what is currently accepted, so we can shape innovative and lasting solutions for tomorrow. Through the delivery of our operations and maintenance services, you’ll make it simpler and more seamless for our municipal clients to operate safely and efficiently, empowering communities to focus on what matters most to them - people.

The Operations Program Manager, you will shape how Florida’s Turnpike infrastructure performs for decades to come. You’ll supports no fewer than three programs within the Maintenance Office. Each program has its own stakeholders, records, deadlines and reporting. The role brings program management discipline to all of them, defining how each program runs, keeping the work on schedule, keeping the records accurate, reporting performance, and coordinating the engineers, inspectors, agencies, contractors and members of the public who touch them.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Run the assigned programs end to end and take ownership: intake, review, routing, decision, follow-through and closeout, to the service standards set for each.

  • Plan and prioritize the work across programs; manage the queue so there is visibility and nothing stalls, expires or falls between owners.

  • Act as the single point of contact for internal reviewers and external parties; run coordination meetings, resolve issues, and escalate what needs a decision with a recommendation attached.

  • Write and maintain the procedures, checklists, templates and reference data for each program so that any trained person can step in.

  • Define and produce the monthly performance measures; feed the District brief and dashboards; flag risks and trends early.

  • Keep the trackers and the agency systems of record current and accurate; improve the tools and automate repetitive steps where it pays.

  • Review each program periodically with its reviewers; remove rework; recommend process or policy changes.

  • Support the Program Manager on District initiatives as assigned.

  • Travel up to 5% as required to support business operations, site visits, meetings, training, and other company-related activities.

As an essential function of the position and as a business necessity, this role requires regular travel by motor vehicle to client sites, project locations, and other work-related destinations in connection with the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities. Accordingly, a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required for this position. The OMFS business uses Telematics & Dash Cameras with our fleet of vehicles and all new hires will require a Telematics acknowledgement to be signed.

Bring your team-focus, adaptability, and commitment to excellence, and we’ll help you grow what drives you - and deliver the world’s most challenging Operations Management projects, together.
