Full job description

Position Summary: Maintaining a clean, safe, high quality, highly productive facility while making the most efficient and cost conscious use of the equipment and personnel. The person in this position will be responsible for doing all activities of the Mixing area under the general policy and guidance of the ASL/Shift Leader/Production Manager.

Role Description: Main priority is to make sure production is going smoothly. Must understand entire production run depends on the Mixing Operator’s action with regarding to Mixing quality, raw material input accuracy, and viscosity control.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote safety in aspects of every task.
  • Maintain the smooth and timely flow of plant production ensuring a quality product is delivered to the next operation.
  • Should understand and operate all mixing process (Chip Mixing, Compound Mixing, Syrup Mixing, Additive Preparation)
  • Ensure quality systems integrity.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance (minor repairs, filter changes, lubrication, etc.)

Qualifications: Listed below are the minimum and/or desired qualifications of the position including education, work experience and knowledge & skills that are required to perform satisfactorily in the position:

Education and Work Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing, continuous improvement experience, a solid understanding of product quality is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of the process
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Written / Communication skills / Teamwork
  • Documentation Skills
  • Analytic Skills

Physical Demands:

  • Position requires minimal lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Position requires being on your feet for 8-12 hours per day.

Salary Description

$18-$19 an hour
