We are PROUD to serve America's public safety professionals by providing the broadest selection of uniforms, equipment, and solutions combined with great customer service.

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an AI Solutions Engineer to work with the business and a third-party AI contractor to design, build, and operate secure generative AI solutions. This role will work with large language m odel (LLM) applications, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and the cloud infrastructure that supports them.

In addition to technical delivery, this role serves as Galls' AI trainer, educating and enabling employees across the company to use AI tools safely, effectively, and in line with company policy.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Generative AI Solution Design & Development

Design and build generative AI solutions, including chat assistants, document processing, and RAG applications.

Build RAG pipelines using ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector search, and grounded m odel responses.

Develop prompts and evaluate m odel quality, accuracy, latency, cost, and ROI.

Build application and integration code in Python or Java and deploy containerized solutions.

Cloud Infrastructure, Security & Compliance

Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform; Bicep or ARM experience is a plus.

Implement secure access with private endpoints, API Management, Microsoft Entra ID, and managed identities.

Ensure AI security, compliance, logging, and access controls, following the principle of least privilege (PoLP).

Monitoring & Operations

Monitor AI workloads for usage, cost, latency, errors, and response quality.

Collaboration, Documentation & Change Management

Build proofs of concept, lead solution and vendor design reviews, and maintain technical documentation.

Apply and help evolve established Azure architecture standards, in line with company policies.

Follow the change management process. When a fix or new feature is introduced to an AI solution or application, ensure the software development lifecycle is followed throughout.

AI Training, Enablement & Adoption

Serve as the company's AI trainer working closely with the Learning and Development team to design and deliver training sessions, workshops, and hands-on demonstrations that teach employees how to use approved AI tools effectively and responsibly.

Develop and maintain training materials, user guides, prompt libraries, best-practice resources, and job aids tailored to the needs of different departments and roles.

Educate employees on responsible AI use, data privacy, security, and company AI policies, including what data may and may not be used with AI tools.

Partner with business leaders to identify AI use cases and training needs, and help teams apply AI to improve productivity and business outcomes.

Provide ongoing support, office hours, and guidance to employees, and gather feedback to continuously improve training content and AI solutions.

Measure and report on training participation, AI tool adoption, and user satisfaction.

WHAT YOU BRING

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education and experience.

Demonstrated experience building and deploying solutions with LLM APIs in a professional environment.

Hands-on experience designing RAG solutions, including embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval strategies.

Strong prompt engineering skills and experience evaluating LLM quality, accuracy, and performance.

Proficiency in Python or Java, including experience with REST APIs and SDKs.

Hands-on experience with Azure, cloud networking, and Microsoft Entra ID.

Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform), Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience deploying and operating containerized workloads on Kubernetes or Azure Container Apps.

Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently, influence outcomes, and drive results.

Ability to explain AI concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and to confidently deliver presentations and demonstrations.

Experience developing or delivering technical training, workshops, or enablement programs for employees or customers.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Semantic Kernel, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.

Python as a primary development language.

Experience with Bicep or ARM templates, in addition to Terraform.
