Full job description

Who we are

Neros is a defense technology company rebuilding America’s drone industrial base. We design and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are tested in combat, iterated at startup speed, and built at massive scale. Our team culture is fast, hands-on, and obsessed with closing the gap between design and deployment.

As drones transform the character of warfare, Neros is delivering the systems the West needs to compete on the modern battlefield and deter the adversaries of democracy. We’re hiring engineers, operators, and builders who want to move fast, take on extreme ownership, and get capability into the hands of warfighters in months, not years.

What you will be doing

You will run core analytical workstreams and broadly support the Strategic Finance function, working directly with the leader of Strategic Finance on the Company's most important financial decisions. The role is anchored in FP&A, with meaningful exposure to Corporate Development and Capital Markets rather than sitting in a single lane.

Responsibilities

  • You will own the recurring financial engine of the business, including the operating model refresh, cash flow forecast, budget tracking, and monthly reporting

  • You will use AI tools to automate and optimize finance workflows, building and improving the models, data pipelines, and tools that make forecasting and reporting faster and more accurate

  • You will support senior leadership on key strategic opportunities, including partnerships, M&A, and fundraising, through target screening, diligence, deal and valuation modeling, investor materials, and cap table analysis

  • You will partner with operations, procurement, and production teams to turn operational data into financial insight

  • This is a unique opportunity to help build the Strategic Finance function from the ground up at a generational company

  • If you're someone who's excited about building and having tangible impact, not just crunching through models and slide decks, then this role is for you

You should have the following

  • 1+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, venture-backed startups, or similar high-performance environments

  • Exceptional new graduates with relevant internship experience will be considered

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, engineering, or a related quantitative field

  • Strong financial modeling and Excel skills, including three-statement fundamentals

  • Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to automate or speed up analytical work, and a drive to keep finding new ways to do so

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ownership of accuracy

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to rapidly iterate, adapt, and ingest new information

  • A strong sense of mission and genuine interest in defense, hardware, and manufacturing

Nice to have

  • Live M&A or financing transactions experience

  • Experience building AI agents, workflow automations, or light scripts (Python, SQL)

  • Experience working with NetSuite or other ERP data

  • Experience with defense, aerospace, or hardware companies

  • Experience with capital markets

US Salary Range

$107,500 – $150,500 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are considered part of Neros' total compensation package.

We’re an equal opportunity employer. We welcome all applicants without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.
