Advantech Industries Inc. is a family-owned manufacturing company based in Rochester, New York, specializing in CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly services. The company, founded in 2002, serves multiple industries, including defense, medical, and aerospace, and operates out of a 250,000-square-foot facility.
Advantech Industries Inc. is currently recruiting a Tool Crib Group Lead, who will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Tool Crib department.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead, direct, and manage Tool Crib employees to ensure daily tasks and priorities are completed accurately and efficiently

Develop relationships with tooling suppliers to ensure state of the art technology is continually being reviewed for possible upgrades

Develop relationships with department supervisors to ensure tooling requirements are met for various jobs

Maintain security of the Tool Crib

Keep doors locked to limit access and direct employees to service window for requests

Review tooling requests and transactions for validity in Epicor
-
Monitor tooling stock and supply to ensure adequate levels

Monitor all purchase components for jobs

Maintain and update Safety Data Sheets by entering new chemicals into the records

Evaluate integrity of cutting tools and determine if service or replacement is needed

Promote and support the requirements and principles of the Advantech Quality Management System and AS9100
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Ability to communicate effectively with tooling suppliers, department supervisors, machinists, and other employees
-
Ability to lead and manage employees, assign and prioritize work, provide direction, and address performance or operational issues as needed

Working knowledge of CNC machining processes, cutting tools, tooling, and related manufacturing supplies

Strong attention to detail
-
Basic computer skills and ability to learn and accurately use ERP systems; experience with Epicor preferred

A HS Diploma or GED
-
5 years of experience in a manufacturing, machining, tooling, or tool crib environment
-
At least 1 year of manufacturing supervisory experience preferred

According to the New York Pay Transparency law, pay range for this job is $25.00 - $32.00 / hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
