Manager, Health and Safety

The Health & Safety Manager is responsible for leading and sustaining the facility's health and safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance, reduce risk, and protect employees and the environment. This role drives a strong safety culture through proactive leadership, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. How You Will Make Contributions That Matter * Provide leadership to promote a strong safety culture across all departments. * Manage and maintain site safety programs, including OSHA compliance and reporting. * Conduct safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments (JSAs). * Lead accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. * Track and report safety metrics, injury data, and compliance activities. * Manage workers' compensation claims and partner with HR on return-to-work programs. * Develop and deliver safety training and ensure compliance with required programs (e.g., PPE, LOTO, confined space). * Maintain safety documentation including OSHA logs and regulatory records. * Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies and support environmental compliance efforts. * Support emergency response, crisis management, and process safety programs. * You are best suited for the role if you have the following experience, skills, and qualifications * Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field (or equivalent experience). * 3+ years of experience in a safety leadership role, preferably in manufacturing. * Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance requirements. * Experience leading safety programs, audits, and incident investigations. * Proven ability to influence, coach, and develop teams. * Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Preferred Certifications * OSHA 30-hour certification (or ability to obtain). * CPR/First Aid certification. Work Environment * Manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and equipment. * Flexibility to support off-shift or weekend needs as required. Salary Range of $89,695-$112,120 Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, skills, education and training.
