Responsibilities:
The Lab Medical Assistant III is responsible for:

Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing

Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens
-
Referring specimens to outside laboratories
-
Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests
-
Performance of phlebotomy procedures

Performs other duties as assigned
Credentials:
-
Driver's License in the State of Florida
-
Required ASPT (Phlebotomy Technicians)
-
Or ASCP
-
Or AMT (Medical Technologists)
-
Or Paramedic
-
Or EMT (Emergency)
-
Or Medical Technologist
-
Or Medical Technologist Eligible to obtain

Or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in the State of Florida
-
Or RN (Registered Nurse) in the State of Florida
Education:
- Required High School or equivalent
Experience:

6 months in lab support and 6 months BayCare related - Required

1 year of lab support - Preferred
