Full job description

Description We are looking for a Treasury Consultant to support a retail organization in Florida through a short-term contract assignment. This 6-week engagement is suited for a senior analyst or manager-level candidate who brings strong analytical judgment and solid project coordination experience. The role will focus on treasury and accounts payable initiatives that require cross-functional follow-up, detailed reconciliation work, and timely completion of priority deliverables. This position requires onsite attendance Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate treasury-related projects by tracking open items, following up with internal teams, and ensuring requested information is collected and submitted on time.

  • Gather, organize, and upload documentation for field examination and inventory appraisal activities while maintaining accuracy and completeness across shared records.

  • Support updates to banking records, including naming details, closed bank account information, and authorized signer maintenance.

  • Investigate and resolve payment term inconsistencies by partnering with merchandising, legal, and vendor relations teams to align vendor records with current agreements.

  • Perform reconciliation work related to prepayments and identify discrepancies requiring correction or escalation.

  • Assist with detailed analysis tied to liability discharge matters and help maintain supporting documentation for review.

  • Contribute to additional treasury deliverables such as borrowing base certificate preparation, daily cash position reporting, cash consolidation activities, and responses to 503(b)(9) reconciliation requests as needed.

  • Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, communicate status updates clearly, and help keep projects moving toward completion within a compressed timeline. Requirements • At least 1 year of relevant experience in treasury, accounts payable, finance operations, or a related analytical function.

  • Demonstrated strength in analytical problem-solving, reconciliation review, and handling detail-intensive financial information.

  • Experience coordinating projects across multiple stakeholders and driving follow-up on outstanding requests.

  • Working knowledge of corporate treasury activities, banking administration, or cash flow-related processes.

  • Ability to work onsite in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida Monday through Thursday for the duration of the engagement.

  • Proficiency in organizing large volumes of data and maintaining accurate supporting documentation in shared environments.

  • Treasury and accounts payable experience is preferred.

  • Exposure to bankruptcy-related work, including Chapter 11 or 503(b)(9) matters, is a strong advantage.
