Full job description
The Logistics Supervisor leads daily outbound shipping operations across parcel, LTL/TL, staging, loading, documentation, and carrier execution. This role owns safety, quality, productivity, service performance, associate direction, and Dangerous Goods transportation safety compliance for assigned outbound operations. This position serves as the Logistics Supervisor for our second shift.
JOB DUTIES:

Lead outbound shipping operations by planning labor, assigning work, balancing parcel and LTL/TL priorities, monitoring dock and trailer flow, and ensuring customer and carrier cutoff requirements are met.

Direct and coach leads, logistics clerks, pickers, packers, auditors, loaders, and material handlers to execute standard work, scan compliance, packing accuracy, load quality, and shipment release activities.

Monitor shipment accuracy, on-time performance, productivity, staffing, overtime, trailer utilization, dock discipline, equipment readiness, and issue escalation throughout the shift.

Resolve shortages, damages, mis-shipments, carrier delays, documentation gaps, order holds, system issues, safety concerns, staffing needs, and service risks with internal partners and leadership.

Ensure outbound Dangerous Goods shipments are handled, packed, labeled, documented, segregated, staged, loaded, verified, and escalated in accordance with company procedures, transportation safety requirements, carrier requirements, and applicable regulations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
-
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, push, pull, and move throughout warehouse, dock, trailer, parcel, and LTL areas as needed.

Ability to use computers, RF scanners, radios, phones, printers, shipping tools, reports, and office equipment for extended periods.

Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds and support warehouse activity as operational needs require.

Ability to work in active warehouse, parcel, LTL, dock, trailer, equipment, and Dangerous Goods areas with noise, varying temperatures, and moving equipment.

Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment and comply with safety requirements related to outbound operations and Dangerous Goods handling.
PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Vest, Harnesses, and Lanyards
YOU MUST HAVE:
-
3+ years of warehouse, shipping, logistics, distribution, parcel, LTL/TL, supply chain, or related operational experience.

1+ year of leadership experience assigning work, coaching associates, managing shift execution, tracking performance, or supporting cross-functional warehouse teams.

Experience using warehouse management systems, shipping systems, RF scanning, dock schedules, reports, spreadsheets, email, and operational dashboards.

Experience supporting Dangerous Goods handling, packing, labeling, documentation, processing, verification, or transportation safety procedures.
