Full job description

Ro is a direct-to-patient healthcare company with a mission of helping patients achieve their health goals by delivering the easiest, most effective care possible. Ro is the only company to offer nationwide telehealth, labs, and pharmacy services. This is enabled by Ro's vertically integrated platform that helps patients achieve their goals through a convenient, end-to-end healthcare experience spanning from diagnosis, to delivery of medication, to ongoing care. Since 2017, Ro has helped millions of patients in nearly every single county in the United States, including 99% of primary care deserts.

Ro is consistently recognized as a top workplace in Health Care, in New York, and for Women and Parents—earning more than 20 honors from Fortune, Great Place to Work, and PEOPLE since 2021. In 2025 alone, we ranked top 5 among medium workplaces in Health Care and New York, and top 50 nationwide.

The Role:

As an Associate Manager, Clinical Claims, you’ll make sure everything Ro says about its products and services is accurate, evidence-based, and compliant, while helping Marketing say it boldly and defensibly. You’ll review advertising and broader company claims across channels, partnering closely with Marketing, Legal, Regulatory, Clinical, and Product teams and reporting to the Director of Scientific Affairs. You’re a rigorous, curious scientific thinker who can translate complex clinical data into clear, practical guidance. You’ll have the chance to build and own the claims framework, review process, and evidence library as Ro scales.

What You’ll Do:

  • Review advertising, website content, product pages, packaging, social media, and sales materials to ensure clinical and performance claims are accurate, substantiated, and compliant

  • Evaluate supporting evidence (clinical studies, published literature, consumer research) and determine whether it is strong enough to support each claim

  • Partner with Marketing, Legal, Regulatory, Clinical, and Product to give clear guidance on claim wording, risk level, and any additional substantiation needed

  • Enable bold, defensible marketing by offering workable alternatives and solutions

  • Own and build the claims library and evidence database so approved claims and their supporting data are documented and defensible

  • Establish and refine claims review processes, templates, and approval workflows that scale with the business

  • Success in your first 90 days: learn the portfolio and current review process, audit high-visibility and high-risk claims in market, build relationships with key stakeholders, and propose a prioritized roadmap for process improvements and claims library buildout

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in claims substantiation, medical-legal-regulatory (MLR) review, advertising and promotion regulatory affairs, clinical research, or a related field

  • Strong ability to critically appraise clinical data, including study design, sample size, endpoints, and statistical vs. clinical significance

  • Working knowledge of FDA and FTC advertising and labeling standards, including the distinction between structure/function and disease claims

  • Proven experience partnering with Marketing and Legal in a review or approval process

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate technical findings into clear, practical guidance for non-scientific audiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or health-related field (advanced degree a plus)

  • Bonus points for consulting experience (regulatory, advertising compliance, or life sciences advisory), experience with NAD challenges or regulatory inquiries, or experience building a claims review function from the ground up

We’ve Got You Covered:

  • Full medical, dental, and vision insurance + OneMedical membership

  • Healthcare and Dependent Care FSA

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Flexible PTO

  • Wellbeing + Learning & Growth reimbursements

  • Paid parental leave + Fertility benefits

  • Pet insurance

  • Student loan refinancing

  • Virtual resources for mindfulness, counseling, and fitness

The target base salary for this position ranges from $109,200 to $136,000, in addition to a competitive equity and benefits package (as applicable). When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. These considerations may cause your compensation to vary.
