Full job description

Overview Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO&I) is the team behind the cloud. Within CO&I, the Engineering Procurement & Construction (EPC) organization is responsible for delivering core datacenter infrastructure for Microsoft’s cloud business. The MS portfolio consists of complex, multi-disciplinary, large scale, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects. We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual to help build the cloud datacenters that power the world’s largest online services. The EMEA Integrated Lease Delivery Procurement team enables the delivery of Microsoft’s leased data center portfolio across EMEA by ensuring the suppliers, services, materials, commercial frameworks and procurement capacity required for project execution are available when needed. The role combines strategic sourcing with hands-on procurement and supply-chain execution. It works directly with project delivery teams, engineering, cost, planning and suppliers to translate project demand into executable sourcing and procurement strategies, establish supplier capacity and readiness, manage commercial and supply-chain risks, and ensure procurement does not become a constraint to data center delivery

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for EMEA leased data center fit-out projects.
  • Lead RFIs/RFPs, supplier selection, commercial evaluation and negotiations.
  • Build a competitive, resilient supplier ecosystem with sufficient capacity across EMEA.
  • Improve commercial outcomes through benchmarking, aggregation, standardization and supplier allocation.
  • Manage lead times, material readiness and supply-chain risks to protect project milestones.
  • Ensure contracts, POs, change orders and sourcing activities meet procurement controls and compliance requirements.
  • Partner across key functions to resolve issues and support project delivery.
  • Improve procurement through standardized processes, automation, AI-enabled analytics, dashboards and reporting.

Qualifications Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Construction Management, or a related field, and relevant professional experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or commercial management.
  • Experience developing sourcing strategies and managing competitive sourcing, negotiations, contracts, purchase orders, and suppliers.
  • Experience translating complex project requirements and schedules into procurement and supply-chain plans, including managing supplier capacity, readiness, performance, and delivery risks.
  • Stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills, including experience working with senior stakeholders to deliver outcomes across complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Experience managing competing priorities, resolving complex issues, improving processes, and building effective relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or commercial management supporting complex capital projects, data centers, mission-critical infrastructure, construction, technology infrastructure, or a comparable delivery environment.
  • Knowledge of the data center or mission-critical infrastructure industry, including technical infrastructure, telecommunications, fiber, network infrastructure, equipment suppliers, installers, or related categories.
  • Experience using AI and digital tools to improve procurement and business processes, such as AI prompting, data analysis, dashboard development, automated reporting, and generating insights to support decisions.
