Managing complex operational scale, you will allow ARQ to expand rapidly while staying fully compliant with evolving tax regulations and transfer pricing rules.

  • Build and maintain a tax risk management and governance framework, including policies, controls, approval thresholds and documented positions.

  • Report regularly on tax matters, exposures and planning opportunities to the CFO, executive team, Board and Audit Committee.

  • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes in every jurisdiction where the group operates and assess their impact.

  • Oversee timely, accurate corporate income tax filings and payments for every entity, whether done in-house or through external advisors.

  • Manage the global tax compliance calendar and make sure no deadlines are missed in any jurisdiction.

  • Oversee estimated and advance tax payments, withholding tax obligations and tax refund claims.

  • Maintain an up-to-date entity register with each entity’s tax registrations, residency status and filing obligations.

  • International tax and transfer pricing

  • Design, document and maintain the group’s transfer pricing policy for intercompany services, IP, financing and cost-sharing arrangements.

  • Prepare or oversee Master File, Local Files and Country-by-Country Reporting where required.

  • Manage permanent establishment risk, tax residency and substance requirements for each entity.

  • Apply double tax treaties, minimize withholding tax leakage and manage foreign tax credits.Review intercompany agreements, cash repatriation, dividend flows and cross-border financing so they are tax-efficient.

  • Indirect taxes

  • Oversee VAT/GST and other indirect tax compliance, such as Brazil’s PIS/COFINS/ISS, Argentina’s IIBB and Mexico’s IVA, wherever applicable.

  • Define how indirect taxes apply to the group’s products and services, including financial services exemptions, digital services and cross-border supplies.

  • Monitor and implement major indirect tax reforms

  • Make sure e-invoicing and digital reporting requirements are met in every jurisdiction.

  • Financial reporting and accounting

  • Own the tax provision process (current and deferred taxes) under IFRS and/or US GAAP and local GAAPs.

  • Prepare tax disclosures for consolidated and statutory financial statements.

  • Work with Finance and external auditors on tax balances and audit queries.

  • Manage the group’s effective tax rate and forecast tax expense and cash taxes for budgeting.

  • Regulatory and fintech-specific tax obligations

  • Ensure compliance with financial-account information reporting regimes

  • Oversee withholding and reporting obligations on customer transactions, interest, FX gains and payments processed for customers.

  • Manage transaction taxes and tax obligations that apply to payment and banking activities in each country, such as Argentina’s tax on bank debits and credits.

  • Support regulatory license applications and audits where tax compliance is assessed.

  • Team and advisor management

  • Build, lead and develop the tax team (in-house and regional tax managers).

  • Select, manage and evaluate external tax advisors and service providers in each jurisdiction, and control their fees and the quality of their work.

  • Train non-tax teams (Finance, Product, Sales, Legal) on relevant tax matters.

What you'll need

  • Background in a Big 4 tax advisory practice focused on financial entities, combined with in-house leadership at a scale fintech or neobank

  • Deep knowledge of Latin American tax structures and regulations, and international double-taxation treaties

  • Solid background addressing split-payment mechanics, cross-border value flows, and digital transaction withholdings

  • Ability to convert complex legal tax requirements into actionable technical logic for engineering execution

  • Experience structuring cross-bordering tax strategies for high-growth tech firms approaching public transitions

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree in Tax Law, Accounting, or a related field

  • Familiarity with tax treatment for multi-currency products and digital assets

Benefits

  • Competitive salary

  • Sign-on stock options bonus, so you become part of the success of the company

  • Discretionary performance bonus (stock options)

  • Paid annual leave

  • Private health insurance

  • Latest technology to work with

  • Strong team that will help you improve your skills
