Full job description
About Convey Every growing company runs on an invisible operating layer: recurring work that crosses a dozen systems and still needs a person to move it forward. Convey is a digital workforce platform. We take that work off the team and give it to digital teammates that the company's own operators train and manage. Each teammate owns a responsibility from the first request to the finished result. Customers like TelevisaUnivision, Savoya, and Strategus use Convey for work that stands between the business and its revenue. Strategus cut integration launches from three to six months down to under one week. About the role You'll own the Convey brand: what we stand for, how we sound, how we look, and how the market hears about us. You'll set brand strategy and run it across content, PR and communications, and social. You'll own our visual identity and brand system, and you'll build the programs that put our executives in front of the audiences that matter. You'll also build the team differently. Alongside the core job, you'll train and manage your own digital workforce on Convey. Those teammates will own the recurring work that usually keeps a brand team from growing past its headcount, so your time goes to strategy, storytelling, and relationships. You'll be customer zero for the product you're marketing. What you'll own Brand strategy
-
Define Convey's brand platform: our story, voice, and personality as a company. Keep every touchpoint consistent with it.
-
Partner with product marketing so the brand and the category narrative reinforce each other.
-
Set brand goals and report against them, including awareness, share of voice, and engagement with the executives and operators we sell to.
Content
-
Own the editorial strategy and calendar: thought leadership, the blog and newsletter, video, and the stories that make a new category easy to understand.
-
Hold a high bar for writing and craft on everything we publish.
PR and communications
-
Build and run our PR program: media relationships, launch and funding announcements, analyst relations, and awards.
-
Own corporate communications for company milestones, and be ready when something needs a fast, careful response.
Social
- Own Convey's social presence, starting with LinkedIn, for both the company and our executives. Grow an audience of the leaders and operators we sell to.
Visual identity and brand system
-
Own and evolve Convey's visual identity: logo, typography, color, illustration, photography, and motion. Direct the designers and agencies who bring it to life.
-
Build and maintain the brand guidelines and a template library, so anyone at Convey can make on-brand work without waiting on you.
-
Make sure everything from the website and sales deck to an event booth looks and sounds like Convey. Partner with demand generation on the website, and with product design so the brand and the product feel like one Convey.
Executive visibility
-
Build our executive thought leadership program: each executive's point of view, the stages, podcasts, press, and bylines that fit it, and the preparation that makes them land.
-
Manage our executives' speaking opportunities and content. Partner with field marketing on speaking slots at events tied to our target accounts.
Your digital workforce
-
Decide which recurring brand work to delegate. Examples include media and social monitoring, share-of-voice reporting, speaking opportunity research and submissions, repurposing content across channels, resizing and versioning assets, and brand consistency checks.
-
Train those teammates, review their work, and keep improving them as the work changes.
-
Share what works so it shapes how Convey markets with Convey and how we tell the story to customers.
What you bring
-
8+ years in B2B brand, communications, or content marketing, mostly in SaaS, including ownership of brand strategy at a fast-growing company.
-
A track record of building a brand for a new or fast-moving category that the right audience recognizes and trusts.
-
Exceptional writing and editorial judgment. You can make a technical product feel clear, credible, and human.
-
Hands-on PR experience. You have media relationships and have run major announcements end to end.
-
Experience running executive thought leadership and speaking programs.
-
A strong eye for design, and experience owning a visual identity and brand system, directing the designers and agencies who build it.
-
Experience leading teams, agencies, and budgets. You set direction, and you're still hands-on.
-
Real fluency with AI, and the urge to hand off whole processes rather than just doing pieces of them faster.
-
Experience marketing AI or enterprise software platforms.
Why join
-
Define what the leading brand in a new category looks and sounds like.
-
Use the product to build your team. You'll know the customer's experience better than anyone.
-
Help shape the marketing organization early.
