Full job description

About the Role We're looking for a highly connected, commercially driven Strategic Partnerships Lead to identify, develop, and grow partnerships that create meaningful new business opportunities for Paro.

This is a hands-on, relationship-driven business development role. The ideal candidate brings an established network across financial services, technology, fintech, or adjacent industries, along with the ability to turn those relationships into productive commercial partnerships.

You'll work closely with Paro's leadership and commercial teams to identify the right partners, develop mutually beneficial relationships, and create repeatable opportunities for customer referrals and revenue growth.

We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, opening doors, and creating new business—not simply managing an existing portfolio of partnerships.

What You'll Do

  • Source and develop partnerships: Identify and engage prospective partners with complementary products, services, and customer bases.
  • Leverage your network: Use established relationships across finance, technology, and related industries to open doors and accelerate commercial conversations.
  • Build reciprocal relationships: Develop partnerships where both organizations actively introduce customers and create opportunities for one another.
  • Own partnership development: Lead opportunities from initial outreach and qualification through negotiation, agreement, and launch.
  • Drive commercial results: Work with partners and internal teams to establish clear referral processes, sales motions, and opportunities for ongoing revenue generation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Operations to ensure new partnerships are effectively introduced to customers and supported internally.
  • Represent Paro externally: Build Paro's presence and relationships within the New York or San Francisco business community.

What We're Looking For

  • An established professional network is essential, particularly across financial services, fintech, banking, lending, accounting technology, SaaS, or the broader technology ecosystem.
  • Proven experience in business development, partnerships, outside sales, or other relationship-driven commercial roles.
  • Demonstrated success originating new business and developing relationships that lead to measurable commercial results.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to build credibility with founders, senior executives, and commercial decision-makers.
  • A practical understanding of partnership economics, referral models, and B2B sales.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and comfortable building a commercial pipeline without a rigid playbook.
  • Ability to manage longer sales cycles while maintaining momentum across multiple opportunities.
  • Willingness to travel, attend industry events, and develop relationships in person.
  • Based in New York City or San Francisco, with strong connections to the local business community.

What Success Looks Like Success in this role means building a focused portfolio of strategic partnerships that consistently generate qualified customer introductions and meaningful new business opportunities for Paro.

You'll be responsible for identifying the right partners, establishing relationships with clear mutual value, and working with internal teams to ensure those relationships translate into actual customer engagement and revenue.

We're not focused on the number of partnership agreements signed. We're looking for someone who can create a repeatable, commercially productive partnership channel that grows with the business.

Compensation and details

  • Salary: $85,000 to $125,000 DOE
  • Location: Remote, but must be based in San Francisco or New York City
