Full job description

What We Need:

The Order Management Lead is a critical role on Brady’s warehouse logistics team, supporting high volume and fast paced warehouse operations. In addition to managing order processing and scheduling, the lead oversees dock operations and is responsible for accurate picking, staging and auditing of orders. Concentrates on early-stage order fulfillment workflows, ensuring swift dispatch preparation, monitoring service benchmarks, and pre-emptively addressing operational hurdles.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Queue Management: Ensure all system orders are accurately printed, batched, and processed overnight and consistently throughout the day.

  • Order Prep: Coordinate with the shipping office for orders ready to be picked, labeled, and audited.

  • Dock Coordination: Lead and direct the daily workflow of dock workers, forklift operators, and material handlers.

  • Inventory Investigation: Research and resolve operational discrepancies, including missing pallets, late orders, or systemic carrier issues.

  • International Compliance: Stage and fulfill international order until complete.

  • Performance Tracking: Monitor, log, and report on On-Time Delivery Performance, communicating potential delays directly to management.

  • Cross-Training: Assume delegation of authority when the Warehouse Manager is out of office.

What You Will Need To Be Successful:

  • High school Diploma/GED required

  • Minimum 5 years of high volume distribution supervision experience

  • Experience in the various warehouse picking technologies

  • Experience in the use of and implementations of warehouse control or management software

  • Experience in the use of various barcode and scanning technologies to improve picking/packaging efficiencies

  • The individual must have a proven track record of establishing disciplined work processes and improving those processes

  • Strong supervisory and project management skills

  • Flexible in schedule to work overtime, nights & weekends as needed

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly & stand for 100% of shift

Additional Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, logistics or related field

  • Knowledge of MRP and familiarity with ERP systems, such as SAP

  • 8+ years of shipping and receiving experience

  • A thorough mastery of manufacturing processes, inventory management principles and material flow procedures

  • Experience performing quality checks and recording data
