This role is essential in maintaining a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment. Substitute aides assist with classroom activities, provide individualized student support, and help ensure continuity of services across general education and special education settings. ** ** ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Key Responsibilities ** ** Support classroom teachers by assisting with instruction, activities, and supervision Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students, including those with special needs Implement accommodations and modifications as directed by the teacher or intervention specialist Assist students with daily tasks such as organization, transitions, and engagement in lessons Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, or during arrival/dismissal Help maintain a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment Follow established lesson plans, behavior plans, and safety protocols Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and administrators Document student observations or incidents
