Position Summary/Description:

This is a full-time, teaching-track position at the rank of Teaching Assistant Professor. Successful candidates will be prepared to teach a range of foundational computer science and/or artificial intelligence courses. Opportunities to teach upper-division courses, Honors courses, and in study abroad programs will be available in accordance with each candidate’s skills and interests. Ideal candidates will be able to employ evidence-based pedagogical methods and instructional technologies to effectively teach large classes; train, utilize, and mentor undergraduate and graduate teaching assistants; and participate in the development of undergraduate curricula. Engagement in formal academic research is welcome but optional for teaching-track faculty. This position is a state-appropriated, permanent faculty line with an initial term of three years, to be renewed thereafter for terms of up to five years. It offers a promotion path to Teaching Associate Professor and Teaching Professor.
