Description:

Remote

Our client is seeking a highly proactive and versatile Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support senior leadership and cross-functional teams with strategic planning, portfolio operations, communications, and organizational execution. This is not a traditional technical BSA or Project Manager role. The ideal candidate operates as a strategic generalist, helping create structure around priorities, connect initiatives across a portfolio, and transform ideas into actionable plans, executive communications, dashboards, and operational deliverables. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable supporting strategic initiatives and driving day-to-day execution. They will proactively identify gaps, follow through on open items, and help ensure organizational priorities remain aligned and moving forward.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $70.00 to $80.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

  • Support planning activities across the organization including leadership meetings, staff meetings, offsites, and strategic planning sessions.

  • Maintain visibility across the portfolio and help leadership understand priorities, progress, dependencies, and areas requiring attention.

  • Partner closely with the TPM to fill operational and coordination gaps without duplicating traditional project management responsibilities.

  • Translate leadership ideas and priorities into actionable plans, artifacts, communications, and follow-up activities.

  • Support ad hoc strategic initiatives and special projects from senior leadership.

  • Maintain and manage portfolio priorities, dashboards, trackers, and planning artifacts.

  • Drive updates within Dragonboat, ensuring teams update priorities, milestones, and status.

  • Proactively follow up with stakeholders to keep information accurate and initiatives moving forward.

  • Create an operating rhythm around staff meetings, portfolio reviews, planning sessions, and leadership updates.

  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or missing information and take initiative to resolve them.

  • Develop clear, concise executive communications explaining priorities, initiatives, progress, and outcomes.

  • Turn complex information into executive-ready presentations, dashboards, summaries, and artifacts.

  • Partner with teams to articulate launches, the problems they solve, benefits, rationale, and go-to-market or communication plans.

  • Use AI tools such as Claude to accelerate research, planning, communications, synthesis, and artifact development.

  • Collaborate in Figma on concepts, designs, and presentation materials.

  • Convert rough ideas into polished, usable artifacts and seek opportunities to apply AI to improve speed and quality.

Experience Requirements:

  • Strong experience in business analysis, strategy and operations, portfolio or product operations, or Chief of Staff-style roles.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Executive storytelling and presentation skills.

  • Ability to create structure and actionable next steps from ambiguous ideas.

  • Strong organization with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a broad portfolio.

  • Comfort working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

  • Experience developing executive presentations, dashboards, planning materials, and communications.

  • Instincts for product or capability marketing and translating work into a compelling business and customer story.

  • Comfort using modern AI and collaboration tools such as Claude, Figma, and Dragonboat.

  • Sufficient technical aptitude to communicate effectively with technical teams.

  • Suggested: 6+ years in relevant roles, with experience supporting Director, VP, or executive-level leaders preferred, and experience in technology, product, engineering, or digital organizations preferred.
