What this role is all about
At Sonesta, great hospitality is powered by smart strategy behind the scenes — and that’s where our Revenue Management team comes in. As the Revenue Manager, you’ll help drive hotel performance by turning data, trends, and insights into impactful commercial strategies that maximize revenue and profitability. This role is ideal for someone who loves analytics, problem-solving, forecasting, and finding opportunities to improve performance in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You’ll work closely with hotel leadership, Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to develop pricing, manage inventory, and create distribution strategies that drive RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, and market share. If you’re commercially minded, highly analytical, collaborative, and passionate about hospitality strategy — we’d love to meet you.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop and execute hotel revenue management strategies focused on maximizing RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, and profitability.
- Analyze hotel performance data, STR reports, market trends, booking pace, and competitive set activity to identify opportunities and risks.
- Manage pricing, forecasting, inventory control, yield management, and demand optimization strategies across assigned hotels.
- Monitor and optimize hotel distribution channels, OTA performance, channel mix, and rate parity strategies.
- Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and hotel leadership teams to align commercial and revenue strategies.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly revenue forecasts, reporting, and business performance analysis.
- Lead and participate in revenue strategy meetings, providing actionable recommendations and insights to leadership teams.
- Support annual budgeting, business planning, and forecasting processes through data-driven analysis and recommendations.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability through segmentation strategy, pricing optimization, and market positioning.
- Ensure revenue management systems (RMS), PMS platforms, CRS systems, and reporting tools are maintained and optimized effectively.
- Stay informed on hospitality industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging revenue management best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive commercial performance, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
- Any other duties as assigned.
What great looks like
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in Hotel Revenue Management, Hospitality Analytics, Commercial Strategy, or Yield Management.
- Strong understanding of RevPAR, ADR, occupancy forecasting, pricing strategy, inventory management, and hotel distribution channels.
- Experience working with STR reports, revenue management systems (RMS), CRS systems, PMS platforms, and hotel business intelligence tools.
- Advanced analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic business recommendations.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills with experience creating forecasts, reports, and performance dashboards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence hotel leaders and cross-functional partners.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Solutions-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
- A passion for hospitality, analytics, revenue strategy, and driving business performance.
