Under supervised professional and skilled guidance, our CNAs give direct nursing care to assigned residents and perform other services necessary for their personal and comforts needs. All offers of employment with Sapphire Nursing are conditioned on completing and passing a background and drug test, participating in mandatory vaccine programs (e.g., Covid-19), participating in testing requirements (e.g. Covid-19, TB) and using designated PPE when required. Must be certified in NYS as a CNA. Provides direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. Assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, transfers, and ambulation. Takes and records vital signs and reports changes in resident condition to nursing staff. Maintains resident safety, dignity, privacy, and a clean environment while following infection-control procedures. Required Skills/Abilities: Current CNA certification, effective communication, compassion, teamwork, ability to follow instructions, and ability to safely perform resident-care duties. Equipment: Vital-sign equipment, wheelchairs, walkers, gait belts, mechanical lifts, electronic documentation systems, and other resident-care equipment. Physical/Working Conditions: Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and assisting with resident transfers. Work is performed in a skilled nursing facility and may involve exposure to bodily fluids and communicable illnesses. Weekend, holiday, and rotating shifts may be required.
