About TypeSafe TypeSafe AI is an AI lab building machine-native intelligence infrastructure for automation, designed to make decisions within software by combining the intelligence of LLMs with the efficiency and reliability of code into a new shape of AI: System One Models. Based in San Francisco, TypeSafe AI recently launched its first public model, Jev. While others chase benchmarks and academic puzzles, we’ve been quietly rethinking the LLM stack from first principles — building a new kind of general frontier model designed for real-world reliability, decision-making, and autonomy in production. We’re a small, fast-moving team from OpenAI, Google Brain, and Meta/FAIR, backed by top-tier investors. Since mid-2024, we’ve been engineering the foundation for what comes after the current “state-of-the-art” — a model that actually gets things done. About the role Responsibilities

• Help define TypeSafe's voice with the developer community and grow our visibility, trust, and adoption

• Represent TypeSafe and the future of System One AI through talks, demos, community participation, and partnerships

• Own the developer experience across docs, tutorials, and SDK/API references

• Engage with the developer community via our Discord, in-person events, conferences, and whatever else the future holds

• Build deep understanding of our developer community; synthesize their needs and concerns to be the voice of our developers inside the company

• Design and run developer programs (e.g., early access, betas, red-teaming, bug bounties)

• Collaborate with product, marketing, engineering, operations, and leadership

• Create demos, tutorials, cookbooks, docs, and collateral that help developers understand and learn to use TypeSafe

• Plan and execute developer marketing moments: webinars, meetups, hackathons, conference talks, and workshops

We are looking for people who

• Have fluent understanding of LLMs, AI market, and developer needs in LLM performance, as well as major developer ecosystems and APIs

• Have deep developer empathy; are excellent at listening and synthesizing from feedback, and have experience running usability tests

• Care deeply about our mission and are driven to translate it into real-world impact

• Are skillful communicators, both in speech and written forms

• Have >3 yrs experience as a SWE or developer advocate

• Existing reputation and standing among developers a huge plus

• Base salary of $150k–250k plus equity, based on leveling
