Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager

Location: Bridgeport, CT

Help Deliver Exceptional Custom Homes

We are seeking a Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of luxury residential and high-end custom home projects.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being involved in every phase of construction, from preconstruction planning and procurement through project execution and closeout. You'll work alongside experienced Project Managers, Superintendents, architects, designers, subcontractors, and homeowners to help bring unique, high-quality residential projects to life.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Project Coordinator / APM, you'll play a key role in keeping projects organized, on schedule, and moving forward successfully.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers in the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple luxury residential construction projects.

  • Assist with budgeting, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and material tracking.

  • Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, permits, and project reports.

  • Coordinate project schedules and help track milestones, deliverables, and deadlines.

  • Work closely with field teams, vendors, consultants, and clients to ensure clear communication and successful project execution.

  • Attend project meetings and document action items and follow-up tasks.

  • Assist with estimating and preconstruction efforts.

  • Monitor project costs, invoices, purchase orders, and budget updates.

  • Maintain accurate records within Buildertrend and other project management systems.

  • Help identify and resolve project issues before they impact schedule or budget.

  • Support project closeout activities and turnover documentation.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in construction coordination, project administration, assistant project management, or related roles.

  • Experience with residential, custom home, luxury residential, or high-end renovation projects preferred.

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and project documentation.

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience with Buildertrend, Procore, Sage, or similar construction management software is highly desirable.

  • Ability to work effectively with homeowners, architects, designers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Trumbull, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
