Role summary:
The Senior Manager, Business Development leads the execution of strategic business plans by identifying operational needs, removing obstacles, and driving performance improvements. This role fosters strong internal and external partnerships to support business growth and aligns sales strategies with organizational objectives. The position involves mentoring and developing team members, ensuring compliance with company policies, and promoting a culture of integrity and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will leverage data-driven insights to enhance efficiency, manage key accounts, and contribute to Walmart’s commitment to delivering value and excellence across all business initiatives.
About the team:
The Food Strategy team leads strategic growth for Walmart U.S. Food Merchandising by identifying and advancing key opportunities that enhance customer experience and business outcomes. Collaborating across Merchandising, eCommerce, Operations, Product, Supply Chain, Finance, and Technology, the team defines enterprise strategy, scales capabilities, and drives cross-functional initiatives. Acting as trusted advisors to senior leadership, they ensure alignment and execution of strategic priorities. Their focus on business development, strategic partnerships, and sales strategy supports sustained growth and strengthens Walmart’s market position.
What you'll do:

Lead the execution of business plans by identifying needs, setting priorities, and removing obstacles to optimize performance.

Develop and maintain strategic partnerships to drive business growth and achieve key objectives.

Oversee account management and negotiate agreements to ensure alignment with company goals and procurement standards.

Supervise and mentor associates, fostering a collaborative team environment and promoting continuous development.

Evaluate current programs for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, implementing improvements as needed.

Collaborate cross-functionally to support stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, and value realization.

Uphold company policies, ethics, and integrity while promoting a positive workplace culture.

Proven experience in business development and strategic partnership management within complex environments.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
