Salary: $44,000 per GTA Contract

Report Times: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Daily Hours: 7

Work Year: 2026-2027

Supervisor: Katherine M. Gilbert

Minimum Requirements:

NYS Certification

Desired Qualifications:

Valid New York State teaching certification appropriate to the grade level and assignment.

Knowledge of curriculum, instructional practices, and assessment.

Ability to differentiate instruction.

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Ability to build positive relationships and create a safe, inclusive classroom.

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

Start by following provided lesson plans.

Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate first-grade instruction.

Build foundational literacy, mathematics, and social skills.

Align lessons with state standards and district curriculum.

Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.

Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom.

Collaborate with families and colleagues to support student learning and growth.
