TEKsystems is seeking experienced Data Center Technicians to join a specialized nationwide deployment team supporting major Google data center initiatives across the United States.

Position Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly skilled Tiger Team responsible for launching and supporting Google's Hi-Fiber Project, a nationwide initiative focused on upgrading legacy coax infrastructure to fiber optic technology.

You'll be one of the first technicians onsite at new project locations, helping establish processes, troubleshoot issues, and set projects up for long-term success before moving on to the next deployment.

Top Skills We're Looking For

Data Center Technician experience

Fiber optic cable installation & termination

Coax cable experience

Cable pulling and pathway installation

Rack & Stack experience

Troubleshooting and diagnostics

What You'll Be Doing

Deploying and supporting large-scale fiber infrastructure upgrades

Pulling, routing, dressing, terminating, and testing fiber and coax cabling

Installing and organizing network racks, cabinets, and equipment

Troubleshooting connectivity and infrastructure issues

Establishing project workflows and best practices at new deployment sites

Collaborating with technicians, project managers, and customer teams

Supporting Google data center expansion initiatives across the country

Transitioning projects to local teams once deployment standards are established

Travel Details

Approximately 75% nationwide travel

Typical travel assignments are up to 2 weeks at a time

Air and ground travel required

All travel arrangements coordinated by TEKsystems

Approved travel expenses reimbursed

Valid Driver's License required

Must have no travel restrictions

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Clarksville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
