Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior Collections Specialist for a fully onsite role in Stamford, CT. This position is ideal for a polished and results-driven professional with strong business-to-business and/or commercial collections experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Senior Collections Specialist will play a key role in managing outstanding receivables, maintaining customer relationships, and helping drive timely cash collections. This person must have a STRONG grasp on Netsuite ERP.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a high-volume portfolio of accounts and lead collection efforts to reduce aged receivables

Contact customers by phone and email to secure payment and resolve outstanding balances

Research and reconcile account discrepancies, billing issues, short payments, and unapplied cash
-
Review aging reports regularly and prioritize collection activity based on risk and delinquency
-
Partner with internal teams including accounting, billing, customer service, and sales to resolve disputes and improve collection outcomes
-
Maintain detailed and accurate records of collection activity, customer communications, and payment commitments
-
Prepare reporting on collection status, aging trends, and high-risk accounts for management review

Recommend accounts for escalation or further action when appropriate

Support process improvements and best practices related to accounts receivable and collections operations
Requirements
Qualifications:
-
5+ years of prior collections experience, ideally in a senior-level or high-volume environment
-
Strong track record of successful collections performance and account resolution
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Strong attention to detail, follow-up, and problem-solving abilities
-
Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally and maintain strong client relationships
-
Strong technology skills, including Excel
-
Experience with NetSuite is strongly preferred
-
Ability to work onsite in Stamford, CT, 5 days per week
Preferred Background:
-
Experience in B2B collections, accounts receivable, or credit and collections
-
Comfortable working with large data sets, reporting, and account reconciliation
-
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
