On-Site Loss Mitigation Coordinator | San Diego, CA | $23/hr

Role Overview

We're hiring an On-Site Loss Mitigation Coordinator to support a mortgage servicing team in San Diego, CA. This role focuses on helping homeowners who are experiencing financial hardship by reviewing applications, gathering required documentation, and ensuring loss mitigation requests are processed accurately and on time.

This is a great opportunity for someone with mortgage servicing or loss mitigation experience who enjoys working in a structured, fast-paced environment and is comfortable handling a high volume of borrower communication and documentation.

What Youll Be Doing

• Review incoming loss mitigation requests, appeals, and borrower inquiries

• Gather and organize financial documents required for loan workout evaluations

• Determine whether applications are complete and ready for review

• Upload, track, and maintain documents in internal systems

• Respond to borrower emails and inquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Work closely with collections, servicing, and loss mitigation teams

• Monitor files to ensure deadlines and regulatory requirements are met

• Assist with retention reviews, payment deferrals, and hardship-related requests

• Maintain detailed documentation and accurate records of all activity

• Support department operations and assist with administrative tasks as needed

Pay, Schedule(REQUIRED AVAILABILITY) & Logistics

• Pay: $23.00/hr

• Schedule: Monday through Friday

• Hours: 7:30 AM 4:00 PM

• Location: San Diego, CA

• Work Setting: 100% On-Site

• Contract Length: 3 months

• Potential for extension and long-term employment opportunities based on performance

RequirementsMust-Have

• Previous experience supporting loss mitigation, mortgage servicing, collections, foreclosure prevention, or loan workout processes

• Understanding of RESPA and Regulation X requirements

• Experience handling high-volume emails and borrower communications

• Strong document management and document review experience

• Ability to identify and route different types of loss mitigation requests appropriately

• Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines consistently

• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
