Role summary:

The (USA) Director, Operations leads the execution of complex projects and programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives through strategic planning and cross-functional collaboration. This role drives operational excellence by developing innovative solutions, managing budgets, and optimizing processes to enhance efficiency and customer experience. The Director fosters strong partnerships across teams, supports talent development, and upholds high standards of integrity and ethics. By leveraging insights and best practices, this position advances business goals while promoting continuous improvement and sustainable growth within the organization.

About the team:

The team led by the Director, Operations, drives the strategic planning and execution of complex transportation infrastructure initiatives that support Walmart’s expansive network. This group collaborates across multiple functions including operations, engineering, finance, and technology to develop scalable infrastructure solutions. Focused on enhancing consistency, efficiency, and governance, the team establishes standards and frameworks that enable informed decision-making and long-term value. By integrating business strategies with operational requirements, the team ensures safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation operations that align with Walmart’s growth and innovation objectives.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee execution of complex projects and programs, managing timelines, budgets, and performance standards to ensure successful implementation.

  • Analyze business data and trends to develop actionable recommendations aligned with organizational objectives.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative business solutions that improve efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to support business goals and operational excellence.

  • Develop and execute workforce strategies including talent development, succession planning, and capability building.

  • Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement to drive business results and customer satisfaction.

What you'll bring:

  • Extensive experience in operations management and business strategy development within complex, large-scale projects.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple workstreams to achieve business objectives.

  • Strong skills in data analysis and interpretation to inform decision-making and optimize operational performance.

  • Expertise in project management, including planning, budgeting, and performance measurement.

  • Demonstrated success in developing innovative solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, or related field and 5 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related area. 3 years’ supervisory experience.
