Standard Job Description

Lead the Outer Wing department for the C‑130J program, overseeing cost, schedule, and technical integration to deliver a high‑quality aircraft on time and within budget. Provide on‑site leadership, coordinate with manufacturing supervisors, leads, and the workforce, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the department’s cost, schedule and technical performance.

• Maintain and analyze projected production schedules; update daily/weekly status.

• Develop and execute “return‑to‑green” plans when schedule or cost variances arise.

• Conduct technical analyses of product changes and implement solutions per company procedures.

• Create, track, and report new performance metrics; review results with senior leadership.

• Coach, mentor, and train supervisors, leads, and crew to meet build‑plan targets.

• Ensure compliance with all engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

• Provide on‑site management guidance to keep the build plan on track.

Manages more than one functional area of manufacturing, such as machining, assembly, tool and die, packaging. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience with formal managing/leading people in afabrication/manufacturing environment.

• Experience in planning daily activities, sequencingand assigning work to support required goals andobjectives.

• Accountable for all aspects of quality, cost, andschedule relating to area of responsibility

Desired Skills

.

• Experience with Lean manufacturing concepts andcost reduction with an understanding of business metrics to drive performance.

• Prior management experience in a Tube/Weld, Paint,and Machining, Manufacturing environment.

• Familiarity with the Aeronautics organizationalenvironment and data systems (QADS, SFM, AutoTime).

• A proven track record for shaping the future bybuilding effective relationships.

• The ability to energize a team and deliver results by modeling integrity and accountability.

• Exceptional communication and decision making skills.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communicative skills.

• Knowledge of 6S Activities and ISO9001 and 140001Process and Audits.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $89100.00 - $165500.00
