Full job description

Beam is an ultrafast AI inference platform. We built a serverless runtime that launches GPU-backed containers in less than 1 second and quickly scales out to thousands of GPUs. Developers use our platform to serve apps to millions of users around the globe. We're backed by Y Combinator, Tiger Global, and prominent developer-tool founders, including the founder of Snyk and former CTO of GitHub. About the Role We’re hiring a Product Engineer to own the developer experience built on top of our infrastructure. That means the SDK, CLI, API, and dashboard that developers use every day. You’ll ship features end to end, from talking with customers to writing the backend service and designing UIs that are delightful to use. You’ll also work closely with the team building the runtime underneath. What you’ll work on:

  • Building and shipping features across our Python SDK, CLI, API, and web dashboard
  • Designing a first-class experience for agents and humans
  • Making the path from sign-up to first deployed workload as fast and painless as possible
  • Turning low-level capabilities into simple, intuitive product surfaces. These include things like mountable NVME drives, GPU checkpoint/restore, lazy-loaded images, and multi-cloud scheduling
  • Working directly with customers to understand how they use Beam and how we can spark joy for them
  • Improving usage, billing, and observability so developers always know what’s running and what it costs

Skills & Experience

  • You’ve built and shipped a product end-to-end (big plus if it involved developer tools)
  • Experience with a statically typed language like Go, TypeScript, or Rust (preferred)
  • Comfort with distributed systems and cloud-native tooling like Kubernetes, gRPC, and Terraform. You don’t need to be an expert, but you should be able to reason about these things.
  • Strong product sense: you notice friction and fix it
  • Excited to collaborate closely with customers
  • Enthusiasm for developer tools and cloud-native technologies

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity
  • Join a fast-growing pre-series A company at the ground floor
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits with 90% coverage for you and 50% for dependents
  • Opportunities to participate in events across the cloud native community
  • Fitness stipend, learning budget, and much, much more
