Donor Collections Supervisor

Job description: Are you an experienced healthcare or phlebotomy professional ready to take the next step into leadership? Community Blood Bank is looking for a Donor Collections Supervisor to help lead our Donor Collections team. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines employee supervision, donor care, training, scheduling, quality oversight, and day-to-day operations. Responsibilities 1. Lead, coach, train, and support Donor Collections staff and Team Leaders 2. Assist with hiring, performance evaluations, and employee development 3. Create and manage staff schedules 4. Oversee daily donor collection activities and help troubleshoot operational issues 5. Perform donor screening, phlebotomy, apheresis, and other collection procedures, as needed 6. Review records and documentation for accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance 7. Help maintain staff competencies, training, policies, and procedures 8. Coordinate supplies, vehicles, and other operational needs 9. Serve as a leadership resource when the Manager, Donor Collections is unavailable 10. Participate in an on-call rotation Requirements 1. At least 2 years of related medical, technical, supervisory, or donor collections experience 2. Customer service experience and strong communication skills 3. Leadership or supervisory experience required 4. Bachelor's degree, RN/LPN, or equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred 5. Valid driver's license with a good driving record 6. Comfortable using Microsoft Office 7. Current CPR certification or ability to maintain required certification 8. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional nights and weekends 9. Ability to travel out of town as needed 10. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
