Responsibilities
The ED Tech in the Emergency Room is an unlicensed assistive person who assists with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice; Assists in maintenance of a safe environment and performs under the direction and supervision of the ED Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.2. Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.3. Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current. Possess knowledge of Medical terminology.4. Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.5. Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current.

Saint Michaels Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status, i.e. full-time or part-time. The current compensation range for this role is $21.59. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
