Duties and Responsibilities

A postdoctoral associate position funded by the NIH is available in the Kuo laboratory focused on calcium dependent signaling pathways in the kidney and heart. Candidates will be expected to have a PhD (or be near completion) in organ physiology, cell physiology or molecular biology. Special consideration will be given to candidates with prior experience in calcium signaling and animal studies. The Kuo laboratory is housed in CaMP and has collaborations within the Department, Loyola cardiovascular research institute and nationally. A strong emphasis is placed on on training and professional development in the lab. Salary structure will follow NIH guidelines dependent on years post PhD.
