Project Manager-Human Resources

Permanent Placement

I’m working with a company that’s looking to add a Human Resources Project Manager to lead several high-impact initiatives across HR, finance, and business operations.

This is not a traditional HR role, and it’s not a back-office project seat where you just track timelines and send status updates. They need someone who can step into complex people, compensation, and organizational projects, bring structure to the work, and help drive meaningful change. This role will focus on projects tied to commission structure design, job and role description development, performance management platform implementation, and departmental restructuring. It’s a strong fit for someone who understands how HR strategy connects to finance, operations, and organizational growth. If you’ve led projects involving compensation programs, job architecture, organizational design, performance management systems, or cross-functional transformation, this could be a very strong opportunity.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead HR transformation and process improvement projects from planning through execution

  • Manage commission structure review, redesign, and rollout in partnership with HR, finance, and leadership

  • Drive role description and job documentation standardization to support organizational clarity and workforce planning

  • Oversee implementation or enhancement of a performance management platform

  • Partner with leadership on organizational design and departmental restructuring efforts

  • Coordinate across HR, finance, operations, IT, and executive stakeholders

  • Build project plans, timelines, milestones, resource plans, and communication strategies

  • Manage risks, dependencies, change impacts, training, and adoption efforts

  • Ensure new processes and systems are scalable, documented, and aligned with business goals

Why this role stands out:

  • Title: Human Resources Project Manager

  • Hybrid work arrangement with majority of time in office

  • High-visibility role with meaningful exposure to leadership

  • Opportunity to influence compensation structure, performance systems, and organizational design

  • Broad cross-functional impact across HR, finance, operations, and executive teams

  • Strong fit for someone who likes building order out of complexity and wants work that actually moves the business

If you’re a project manager who can navigate both people strategy and business process, and you know how to drive change without losing stakeholder buy-in, I’d be glad to connect.

Message me directly for more details or to discuss whether this opportunity could be the right fit.

Requirements

What they’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • PMP certification a plus

  • 5+ years of project management experience with meaningful exposure across both HR and finance functions

  • Experience leading initiatives involving compensation, commission structures, job architecture, organizational design, or performance management systems

  • Strong understanding of HR processes and how they connect to finance and broader business operations

  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and manage multiple stakeholders

  • Strong communication, facilitation, organization, and change management skills

Preferred background:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience with HRIS, performance management platforms, or enterprise transformation efforts

  • Familiarity with compensation planning, workforce planning, and department redesign

  • Experience supporting organizational change in growing or evolving companies
