Description
This contractor will be responsible for the co-developing specifications, schematic design, layout, fabrication and build support of digital electronic PCBAs with interfaces with MCU and FPGA systems in order to support Tesla Energy's HIL testing infrastructure. Responsibilities (Whatll Youll Do): · Design and develop digital and analog electronic PCBAs for HIL testers that integrate in to our HIL PCBA ecosystem. · Collaborative work with firmware and electronics design engineers to support specification and design of HIL tester PCBAs. · Start to finish ownership of circuit board electronics from specification through design, prototype, validation, and manufacturing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability · Experience in design of microcontrollers and FPGAs circuits. · Experience designing digital circuits including high-speed busses (CAN, Ethernet, DDR, USB, SPI etc) · Experience designing board level power supplies (buck, boost, power on reset, power sequencing) · Experience in PCB layout, stackup selection, high speed signal routing considerations, signal integrity. · Experience with low to medium volume DFT and DFM. · Previous work in the solar, energy storage, electric vehicle / charging or with HIL tester / validation hardware design. · High-speed digital design expertise, communications networks and fiber optics is a plus · Experience in development of digital and analog interfaces for test systems, especially (Python) is a plus

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
